Title
Mickler Beach
Subject
Sidney Mickler built a 600-foot-long fishing pier out of palm logs here in the 1930s. He did it without using power tools. He ran the pier for about eight years. In the early 1940s, it was destroyed by a hurricane. It was one of the first beaches open to the public.
